TRUE FRIENDS

There aren't many things in life I can point to and say:

 "That is better than a real friend". Very few indeed. Real friends are rare, and must be kept and treated in kind, for there are few people who will make your time in this life better than a true friend.

TRUE FRIENDS

Let us sit in the shade when we need it.

They will share with us the things most important to them.

Friends do not let the differences stand between us and them,

Nor will take into account the opinion of others, even if they all expect you to be enemies.

They will be there to lean on,

They will be there in times of crisis,

And moments of joy.

They will have a soft place for us to land when we fall,

And give a loving embrace when we need it.

Friends shelter us under their wings.

And will always be there ready to support us.

They'll be silly with us

And go to great efforts to make our time fun.

Always with a smile when they see us.

They will make sure we are safe.

And walk alongside us, taking our journey together.

Friends always bless us, no matter what others think of us.

They receive us in any situation and any shape we're in,

And always have a sympathetic ear.

Friends do not let any obstacle stop us,

Friends keep us from harm,

If necessary, they will carry us over.

And most of all - friends remain friends!
