Pickled Beetroot (Beet slaai)

PICKLED BEETROOT

3kg Beetroot

Boil until soft and slice.

Mix together:

½ Cup of sugar
500ml vinegar
1 Cup water
5ml Salt
1ml Pepper
1ml Ground ginger
Pinch of cloves

Mix with the beetroot and bottle.
